Labor Day Weekend 2013

Labor Day weekend is typically the 'last hurrah' at Sweetwater Lake. It's sad, really. All the fun of the summer will be just a memory as we move into fall. If we didn't have football, it would almost be too much to bear. And while the opening to college football wasn't exactly what we had hoped for, true fans remain steadfast through thick and thin. (And tailgating helps.)

Adam and Courtney were eager to show off their custom made Labor Day tank tops.
They were definitely 'in the deal.'
Saturday was game day, and while these three weren't with us at the lake to watch the game, they were 'Boiler-ing Up' from the 'burg. Too bad the team wasn't. We were able to watch from the lake via David's account on my computer connected to the TV. Isn't technology great! I only watched until just into the third quarter when I decided my time would be better spent IN the lake. It appears that we are in for another long season.
We had a big day on Sunday, as the whole family made it to spend some time together on the water. This little guy stopped to do some shopping on the way down. I think Noah's a GAP baby.
His first trip to the lake!
He liked it on the swing, of course.

He even got a little time with Uncle Big Jon.
This group went tubing. That's Andrew, Shylah's brother Joe, Courtney, and Matthew.
Then it was time for relaxing in the water. The girls served up the beverages.

Just some of Sunday's group gathered around the mat.
Matthew relaxed on the dock.
Moda and Coco wear their life jackets for safety. They belong to Kyle and Kristin who made a quick trip from West Lafayette to spend the day with us. Michael and Jenny came on Sunday, as well, but I failed to get a picture of them. Ours was definitely the party dock!
Courtney discovered that the handles on the life jackets are quite useful. Silly puppies!
Noah, hanging out on the deck with Aunt Shylah and Joe. Happy baby.
Relaxing with his mama.
Ella likes her new baby cousin!
After a great weekend of floating, tubing, sunning, golfing, gaming (Taboo, Mad Gab, You're Bluffing, Pop 5, Apples to Apples), eating, drinking, fishing, and even some relaxing, we got a family photo before some of the gang headed out on Sunday night. So blessed to have everyone together.  So thankful for a beautiful place to spend time with the ones we love. God is good.
