God Bless the Boilermakers

Like a wayward child, we will always love our Boilermakers. Unconditionally. Passionately. No matter what. We will love them, yes, but we are finding it a bit hard to like them right now. And as with our child, we will think of excuses. After all, this behavior couldn't possibly be the fault of our beloved. Could it? It must be the coach. The referees. The drizzle. Maybe the band didn't play the right song. Maybe the grass was too slick. Maybe the uniforms were itchy.

And even though we're not liking our team much right now, we'll continue to love them, and to hope that the next game will be better. So God bless 'em. We need all the help we can get.

We enjoyed this license plate in the tailgate lot. Something to hope for.

We had a small, but enthusiastic group for our version of breakfast club. Pancakes, sausage, bacon, donuts, etc. were enjoyed by all.

Adam was on duty at the AGR house to welcome alumni and help with the meal. Andrew and Jim pose with him looking spiffy in his new shirt.

Andrew had a chance to catch up with some old friends. It was great to see Joe and Shane.

This is the famous fire alarm. Enough said, right Andrew?

The alumni band during halftime was truly the highlight of the game. Unfortunately, the band continues to be the highlight. They seem to be able to hang on to their instruments during the entire performance. Some of their instruments are much heavier than a football. Just sayin'.

They paid tribute to the school of science, and featured Neil Armstrong riding atop the world's largest drum. Not sure it was really him, but very cool nonetheless.

We were able to successfully drown our sorrows in several orders of Bruno Dough. Always a great way to end a trip to Boilermaker Country.
